Today we participated in Baghdad ITT, the time trial we won 2 seasons ago. Today Kim Pugh was unbeatable again, reclaiming his national jersey.
Standing on the podium Kim noticed a young man standing in the crowd watching him with sensationaly sparkling eyes. "That man must be using make up" Kim thought but he didn't have much time to watch the man closer.
Jalal Talabani was about to hand over the trophy so Kim forgot entirely about the young man.
Some time later I had a chat with the young man as he showed up at the team bus trying to get Kim's autograph. He told me he's from Mauritius. Lately he's been following the TT-teams around the world hoping for a chance to ride for one of those teams one day.
In fact he told me he want to become Mauritius' number one rider. He told me this with so much passion i have no reason to doubt him
See for yourself:
Name: Anil Berenguer
Nation: Mauritius
Age: 22 years
Birthday: Day 33
Average Skill: 30
Potential:
CL: None
DH: Good
HL: Small
SP: Small
FR: Small
CB: None
TT: Very good
TQ: Small
We have taken care of the young man and promised him he can stay with us at least an entire month. After that he is free to go again.
Any team willing to train Mauritius' future number one time trialist is most welcome to show his interest.

Still moderate compared to yours Noppes but as i'm only doing TT's it has been a good season for me.
Killer season you are having, Harry!
I would show interest but looking at other teams interested I am not going to get him unless he maxes early.
:)
And I on your second place!
I will update on Berenguer in a couple weeks.
I show interest.
And, I congratulate Pugh on the win in Baghdad! Samper tried hard, but my rider could not beat your one. Nice! :)
